Cordyline varieties have somewhat similar appearances to Yucca. They feature large lanced shaped leaves, and white flowers which may appear in Summer.

Suited to any soil, Cordyline are happy with full sun or partial shade as long as the soil is well-drained and the spot is sheltered.

Overall, Cordyline generally tend to be less hardy than Yucca, though they should be able to survive most cold winters.

Propagation is made by seeds or removing rooted suckers.
