1. Toothpaste

Parabola Media has bought a small London advertising firm and sends disgraced maverick Eliott Thurber over to the United Kingdom to head up the office as opposed to firing him to get him out of the way. His British ex-wife Hannah is surprised that he is heading to London and quickly works out that he must have been forced out, while current office manager Esther wonders if she is about to be replaced. Zadie meanwhile intends on making him feel welcome to the country until he introduces himself However, on arrival in London, Eliott discovers that he will be working for Esther as a continued effort to force him out. Eliott also discovers that he will be working alongside Hannah as she has been hired as the new creative. Hannah sets about devising a way for Esther to get rid of Eliott who promptly uses Esther's teeth in an advert, which results in great feedback from the toothpaste manufacturer Flurabrite and Eliott staying.

2. Cat Food

A gourmet cat food company is looking to the media agency to sell their products, though Eliott immediately struggles to find his interest in the company. He is also berated by his boss for expenses racked up at the hotel while Hannah attempts to persuade him to see his fifteen year-old daughter Pippa. The account comes under threat resulting in Esther claiming that she is married to Eliott to keep the boss of Silver Service Cat Foods onside who has a particularly narrow view of the average family. Hannah meanwhile contemplates how long it will be until she ends up sleeping with Eliott as she feels he has an animal attraction, which is made all the more difficult by Eliott turning up repeatedly to see Pippa. While Hannah escapes to America for a business trip, Eliott and Esther have to handle Silver Service Cat Food boss Mrs Braden who wants to meet Eliott with his family, and cat who will be the star of the advert.

3. Schokolade

A German chocolate manufacturer is looking to Parabola to sell in the UK market and Eliott is heading up the account over Esther by Lachen Chocolate owner Mr Mandelbrot. His competition with Hannah is also ramping up in a United Kingdom vs United States battle, while he also sets about finding a personal assistant. After sixteen interviews, he lands on Barry who appears to be less than able but is able to speak fluent German. Zadie meanwhile becomes addicted to the German chocolate. Eliott and Esther head to Germany to meet Mandelbrot leaving Hannah to provide therapy to Zadie by slapping her with chocolate bars. Eliott's attempts to make Mandelbrot laugh with jokes from Barry fails badly though Esther has better luck. Eliott sets about finding the key to German humour and discovers a laughter class which gives him a plan to make Mandelbrot laugh, and ends up making a bet with Esther. Going on to win an award for the Lachen chocolate advert, he still manages to lose the contract.

4. Chowder

The company behind Mayflower Clam Chowder is intending to market to the British consumer which has Hannah questioning his choice of an advert mockup. Esther is away in New York but heading back home when she discovers Mayflower is looking at other companies to pitch due to being unhappy Eliott's idea. Hannah is roped into helping with Zadie joining her in competition with Eliott and Barry. With little time left, Eliott and Hannah struggle to come up with a new idea and with a potential bonus also on the line, the pair set about gaining an advantage over the other much to Esther's annoyance. Things get even worse when Eliott ends up arguing with a taxi driver, while Esther has other problems as her own taxi driver has an allergic reaction to some chowder she provides leading to a quick legal threat. Eliott manages to get himself arrested after ditching the taxi without paying, while Esther's decision to use her own cab driver in her pitch reaps the reward.

5. Healthcare

Taking a training course on inappropriate behaviour in the workplace, Zadie believes that the company needs more sex to relax things around the workplace. Meanwhile, Eliott meets with a pharmaceutical company head who has designs on the National Health Service by way on adverts which paint it in a bad light. Barry takes to impersonating Eliott's voice for Zadie's amusement. Zadie decides on putting a plan into action to get Eliott, Esther and Hannah into dates though Esther ends up with a date with less charm than Eliott and Hannah begins seeing a performance poet. Eliott proves to be more tricky to match up with a date and sets about showing off his advert to the pharmaceutical executive himself. However, everyone turns up at the event where Hannah discovers that he has stole her footage which causes ruptions with Alex. With Eliott in trouble, Esther sets about defending him which Hannah quickly realises she has done for an ulterior motive.

6. Face Cream

McCallisters biscuits have had an advert pulled by the Advertising Standard Agency, leading Eliott believing that he is personally being targetted. Zadie also takes to remarking about Esther's weight as she begins to comtemplate whether Eliott has feelings for her while also considering whether she should take a temporary role in New York. Eliott takes to confronting a representative from the ASA in preparation for his next advert - a face cream - which will feature beautiful actress Angelique. The situation has both Esther and Hannah jealous and irritated by her. Angelique turns up at Eliott's house claiming she is being stalked, and takes to hiding out in his spare bedroom before promptly throwing herself at him. Mystified at the situation, Hannah takes to proving to Esther that he has broken their "date" by taking her to the restaurant where he is having a meal with Angelique who sets about upsetting everyone including Eliott's daughter. The situation has Esther planning to leave for New York.
