Nightmare at 20,000 Feet

Bob Wilson prepares to take a flight home after his release from a psychiatric hospital. Nervous of flying, he takes a seat by the window and discusses with wife Julia his previous overwork and stress. While flying through bad weather, Bob begins to see a monster out on the wing of the aircraft but fails to convince a stewardess or his wife of what he is really seeing. The situation results in a security guard being seated next to Bob and his window curtain being drawn, however the noise from the creature continues.

Elegy

In the future, three astronauts have a rough landing on a remote asteroid after running low on fuel. They discover an Earth-like rock with an almost identical atmosphere, and even a farmhouse and tractor. The men find a farmer who is frozen in place as well as others townsfolk completely still and lifeless. They eventually comes across a man who can speak and move - Jeremy Wickwire - who describes himself as the caretaker of "Happy Glades" which aims to fulfil the fantasy of the rich once they die.

The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank

Set in 1920s Arkansaw, mourners are attending the funeral of Jefferson "Jeff" Myrtlebank. As the service draws to a close, the attendees hear banging from the coffin which is smashed open by an alive Jeff, who immediately questions what is happening. With Jeff now seen as a medical miracle, the townspeople are apprehensive of his return to life, while his girlfriend Comfort also renders him as an outcast leaving him with nobody.

Spur of the Moment

Eighteen year-old Anne Henderson heads out for a ride on her horse prior to her engagement party. While out however, she is chased by a woman in black who screams at her. Anne manages to escape and returns to the house, where she recalls the events and believes the woman intended to kill her. Anne's confused state increases when her ex-fiancé David Mitchell turns up in the hope of stopping the wedding. Anne eventually comes to find out who the woman in black is.

He's Alive

Neo-Nazi group leader Peter Vollmer frequently encounters agression from passersby as he tries to give hateful speeches on street corners. His Jewish friend, Ernst is sympathetic to him despite his opinions though is concerned where those opinions may lead. Peter's luck begins to change when he encounters a mysterious benefactor who allows him to lead his group into broadcasting their message more readily to anyone who will listen.

Long Distance Call

Parents Chris and Sylvia are prearing for their son Billy's fifth birthday party, though his grandmother is unwell with her death expected soon. While blowing out the candles on his cake, Billy makes a wish and receives a present from his grandmother - a telephone - which she says will always allow him to talk to her. As Chris's mothers death draws nearer, she begins to refer to Billy as her son and suggests that she will take him with her, however when she finally does die, the parents catch Billy talking to his grandmother on the phone.

The Gift

Police officers Sanchez and Salvador are protecting their mountain village in Mexico when they see an object crash into the ground. They discover foot prints leading away from the vessel and encounter a being, which kills Salvador before escaping. Meanwhile, in the village, orphaned youngster Pedro serves an injured man in the village bar and the two quickly become friends. Nobody however is really sure where the man or Pedro really come from.

Gentlemen, Be Seated

In a dystopian future, James Kinkade is involved a minor confrontation with others on the way to work, which results is partially caused by him being less than serious which is now required in current society. Arriving at work, Kinkade is called into the office by boss Biddell who goes on to introduce him to a secret socety - S.P.O.L. (Society for the Preservation of Laughter) which operates in bad taste and outside the law on the wrong side of town - though Kinkade continues to be the odd one out in life.

You Drive

Oliver Pope is an office manager who leaves late after finishing up work. With his mind not entirely on driving, he hits newspaper boy Timmy Danbers who is riding on his bicycle. Leaving the scene, Oliver returns home to wife Lillian and begins to encounter strange occurrences at the house and with his car. The car begins to drive itself to the scene of the accident, with Oliver working out that it is trying to get him to confess through a campaign of relentless harassment.

In Praise of Pip

Pip Philips is serving in South Vietnam, while back home his father Max work as a small time bookmarker and desperately awaits news from his son. Max also has to deal with a young punter who has lost money on a horse race, though takes pity on him after being reminded of Pip. The situation lands him in trouble with mob boss Moran who is upset with Max's accounts. The situation results in Max being badly injured and encountering his son to set things straight at the fairground the pair used to frequent.
