The Last Flight
It is June 1917 and in the midst of the first world war, the 56 Squadron Royal Flying Corps plane is under attack from a number of German aircraft leading Pilot Mackaye to head into a cloud to gain cover. Emerging from the cloud, Mackaye spots a runway for an American airbase in France and sets about landing. However, he soon finds that he has landed in 1959, is surrounded by jet aircraft, and has some explaining to do to account for his now ancient propeller plane and odd uniform.
Long Live Walter Jameson
Professor Walter Jameson comes under the suspicion of fellow professor Sam Kittridge who believes he has not aged in the twelve years they have worked at the same college. Jameson also appears to have significantly detailed knowledge of parts of history. He goes on to reveal that he is ageless after an alchemist imparted the ability to him more than two thousand years ago. However, despite this power it means that Jameson is a constant refugee who longs for death, though does not have the courage to commit suicide.
Person or Persons Unknown
David Gurney wakes up after a night partying to find he is late for work, however on waking his wife Wilma, he discovers that she does not recognise him which results in her screaming for him to leave. Putting it down to some kind of joke, David heads to work at his office in a bank, but there finds that nobody there recognises him. The police arrive to remove him from the premises, much to his dismay, and have him taken to a nearby hospital, with the distinct feeling that his life is being blotted out.
The Whole Truth
A recently married couple encounter smooth-talking car salesman Harvey Hunnicut who attempts to sell them an older car for more money than it is worth. While at the car lot, an older gentleman arrives attempting to sell his old car though Hunnicut dismisses the man suggesting the car belongs in a museum. However, Hunnicut's dismissal of the man leads to him being unable to lie and makes his job selling the old wrecks they have on offer all the more difficult.
Stopover in a Quiet Town
Bob and Millie Frazer head home from a party in the country, but decide to pull over being too drunk to continue. Waking up the following morning, the pair find themselves in a room they don't recognise and in which everything appears to be a prop. They also hear the noise of a child giggling, but are unable to locate the person in the otherwise empty neighbourhood. Unsure of what to do, they attempt to escape on a train, and find themselves prisoners of a place they never could have imagined.
Judgment Night
Carl Lanser, in 1942, finds himself aboard a cargo ship which has left Liverpool and is crossing the Atlantic Ocean. He is confused as to how he came to be aboard the boat, and is unable to remember many details of his life and work. He does however have knowledge of German submarines which has Captain Devereaux intrigued. With the ship engines beginning to struggle, Carl begins to have a bad feeling that something is going to happen to them, though is unable to say what until it does.
The Chaser
Roger Shackleforth is desperate to convince Leila that they should be together though his feelings are not reciprocated. Taking to visiting an old man selling potions, he purchases a love potion which will guarantee Leila's devotion as long as he can get the potion into her drink. Managing it, Leila becomes devoted to Roger and the couple go on to be married within six months however the relationship is not all that Roger thought it would be.
Shadow Play
Adam Grant is on trial for murder and as the jury deliberations come, Adam is taken to the cells. He however is familiar with the process, and surprises his lawyer by effectively predicting what will happen to himself. Adam reveals that he has been living out the same situation repeatedly in which he is tried and sentenced to death for murder, before being executed and awaking again to the same fate. He just needs for someone to believe his story once to put an end to the cycle.
Nick of Time
Young newly-wed couple Don and Pat Carter are heading cross-country back to New York after their honeymoon. Their car breaks down however and they are towed to the nearest town - Ridgeville, Arizone. Diagnosed with a bad fuel pump, the couple are stuck awaiting the part and head to a nearby diner. On the table are fortune telling machines which give yes or no answers in exchange for a penny, however their future may or not be wrapped up in the answers it provides.
Static
In a boarding house, embittered bachelor Ed Lindsay rails against his fellow residents who insist on watching mindless television shows all day. Storming off to his room, he has a neighbourhood kid fetch a vintage radio from the basement which allows him to receive broadcasts from the 1930s and 1940s on a station called WPDA. No one else is able to tune into the station, which allows Ed to travel to a time when he was young and less bitter about the world.
