Once Upon a Time

It is 1890, Woodrow Mulligan is dissatisfied with life in the small town of Harmony, New York. Working as a janitor for Professor Gilbert who has just invented a helmet time machine, he offers to be transported for thirty minutes to 1961. While there in the now busy town of Harmony, he encounters Rollo who regards the 1890's as an idyllic time and sets about joining Woodrow for the return journey. However, both menu find that the time period they originally exist in has its good points as well as bad.

The Invaders

On a remote farm, elderly couple Will and Martha spot what they believe to be a shooting star, but which has a noise and crashes into the roof of their home. Martha heads up into the attic to investigate, while Will awaits with his failed eyesight. She discovers a red flashing light atop a metal spacecraft. Things get worse for the couple when a door opens, and the pair come under attack from small aliens, while the elderly pair attempt their own fight back from the surprising visitor.

Beewinjapeedee

At Pirates' Liar clam bar near the Everglades, filmmaker Richard and cameraman Mongo set about drinking while on a break from their documentary production. Richard is on the trail of an Indian tribe which is believed to have disappeared, with the last sighting being reported by his own brother seventeen years previously before he himself vanished. While camping out the pair hear a voice coming from a tree where they rescue a two inch tall being who claims to be the princess of the Beewinjapeedee.

Eye of the Beholder

Janet Tyler has undergone another operation to correct her facial appearance, though upon removal of the bandages by her doctor, she discovers that it has yet again failed. The doctor reveals that she still remains beautiful, while their leader appears on the hospital screens calling for greater conformity, with people expected to have ugly faces with significant deformities. A man named Walter Smith arrives to take Janet to an exile colony where people of their type can live in separation.

I Sing the Body Electric

Mr Rogers is a widower is struggling to manage three children who prove difficult to control. He takes them to visit Facsimile Limited, a manufacturer of robotic people for them to select a new grandmother to look after them. Oldest daughter Anne struggles to accept her new motherly figure, as the robot reminds her too much of her biological mother, though an incident which sees her almost hit by a truck and being saved by the robot, has her change her mind and outlook.

Mrs. Pierce is Praying For Me

Small-time con-artist and carnival operator Wally believes that he is being followed, and soon discovers that his brother Frank has been beaten up to send a warning. Frank suggests they head to see Mrs Pierce as they used to as kids to seek her help, due to her ability to make problems go away. However, with Frank's condition getting worse they head to the hospital where they also discover that Mrs Pierce has been unconscious for some time. Wally makes an attempt to get Mrs Pierce to resolve his problems anyway.

The Time of Your Life

Susan is a widow after her police officer husband Paul is killed during a robbery. She is visited by travelling salesman Hal Scratchman who turns up during a bad storm. While in the house, Susan convinces him to show off his wares, though he reveals only one item - an ugly red and black clock - which Hal suggests can be used to go back in time and allows the person to relive a previous moment. Hal offers Susan the opportunity to go back and prevent Paul's death though she has to pay a price of killing three people herself as payback.

Ten Days

Michael is celebrating a promotion at work in a bar and sets his sights on obtaining boss Alan's office and his life in general as his ambition to head the company continues to grow. The pair spot a fortune teller and venture over to have their futures predicted though Michael is skeptical of her claims which suggest he has a troubled soul. She soon claims that she cannot complete the reading and returns their money, with Michael pushing her to reveal what she saw - in ten days Michael will be dead.

Snow Angel

In the run up to Christmas, Martha Waltham picks up the phone to her son Luke who is trying to arrive from Chicago but stuck at the airport in bad weather. With it looking like she will spend the festive period alone, she spots a car on the road before hearing banging on the door from a man who claims he needs help for his girlfriend Lisa. Answering, she finds a young pair who were heading to the hospital as fourteen year-old Lisa prepares to give birth, though the odds are stacked against them as the phone and electricity fail, and Lisa's story begins to unravel and Christmas miracles begin to play out.

The Nanobots

Journalist Alex spends more time playing computer games rather than doing his work, though eventually is given an assignment to head to northern California to investigate nanotechnology. Going under cover as a labratory assistant. Four weeks into the assignment, Alex is frustrated at little progress on his story and discovers a group of other research students are involved in potential action on revealing their leader, Dr Thompson, who they believe is working with shady oil executives resulting in them setting about releasing the machines.
